Job Summary

We are rapidly scaling our engineering team and are seeking an experienced VP of Engineering to strategically lead and grow our engineering organization. This role is ideal for a proven technical leader who excels at scaling teams and technology infrastructure, possesses deep technical expertise, and is passionate about mentoring engineers. You will directly influence the product direction, drive architectural decisions, and report directly to the CEO to shape the future of coffee shop software at Dripos. What You’ll Do

• Manage and scale multiple engineering teams, setting clear goals, and driving execution to deliver on company objectives.
• Recruit, hire, and develop top engineering talent to build and retain high-performing teams.
• Drive key architectural decisions and technical strategies to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and customer-facing teams to align technical development with customer needs and business priorities.
• Establish and evolve engineering processes, standards, and best practices across the organization.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership, ensuring the delivery of robust, reliable, and high-quality software products.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in an engineering management role.
• Strong track record of mentoring and growing engineering teams.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and manage end-to-end product development cycles.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and comfort operating in fast-paced startup environments.
• An individual with deep expertise in scaling high-volume payment and transaction businesses.
• Excited to join a dynamic, fully in-person team in New York City
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
