Role Overview

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our technological vision. This is an equity-only position until investor funding is secured for the startup.

Role Summary

As CTO, you will be the technical visionary and strategic leader responsible for developing and executing ZobeLab’s technology strategy. You’ll oversee platform development, ensure system scalability and security, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions that serve the music community.

General Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of our technology strategy in alignment with our business objectives.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in our technology stack and development processes.
• Manage and mentor a team of talented engineers and designers.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate technology seamlessly into our product offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement ZobeLab’s technology vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Lead the development and launch of a scalable and user-friendly online platform.
• Build and manage a high-performing technology team, including engineers and developers.
• Oversee system architecture, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
• Ensure seamless integration of tools for music artists, managers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and adapt to emerging trends in music tech and AI.
• Collaborate with leadership to align technology with business goals.
• Manage technical budgets and timelines.
• Ability to effectively pitch the company technology to potential investors and to articulate to someone who may not have the technical knowledge and experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience in multiple interface design platforms.
• Demonstrated expertise in pushing applications to app stores (iOS and Android).
• Strong background in quality control processes and methodologies.
• Experience in software integration and API development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role, preferably in a startup or music tech environment.
• Expertise in platform development, cloud solutions, and software architecture.
• Strong understanding of AI, data analytics, and music industry technology trends.
• Experience with scalable tech stacks and APIs for integrations.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
• Track record of launching successful digital platforms or products.
• Familiarity with independent music community challenges (preferred).
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

This position is currently offered as equity-only until investor funding is obtained for the startup. Must have the time availability to commit to a startup which may include 4-year vesting and 1-year cliff vesting schedule for equity.
