Accountabilities
- Develop and articulate the strategic vision for the engineering team, ensuring transparency, alignment, and excitement around company goals
- Mentor and guide engineering managers and teams, helping them build their careers and deliver on key performance measures, such as productivity, efficiency, and meeting organizational goals
- Lead the design and execution of organizational structures for engineering teams and their counterparts in Product and UX, in collaboration with the VP of Product and CTO
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the SaaS platform, including budgeting, cost control, vendor management, and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and service level objectives (SLOs) are met
- Manage communication of engineering goals, progress, and status to key stakeholders across the company, including the CEO, board, and other teams
Requirements
- Experience leading development teams through vision building and product execution, with a focus on fostering innovation and achieving company objectives
- Proven ability to scale engineering teams, ranging from 30 to 300 engineers, while maintaining strong organizational health and culture
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor, recruit, and retain top talent with empathy and transparency
- Experience in partnering with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to deliver on a product roadmap
- Experience with SaaS platform management, budgeting, and operational strategies
- Familiarity with a modern tech stack (Python, Ruby, React, TypeScript, GCP, TensorFlow, Kubernetes, etc.) is preferred
