Stores Re-organisation

• Design and plan the layout of the engineering stores according to Equipment type and sub-assemblies
• Ensures easy Identification, retrieving of spares and consumables
• Preparation of equipment index, coding system and location codes for standardization

Inventory Management

• Determine stock levels of engineering spares held in inventory
• Ensures that balances are always in line with engineering and Production requirements
• Periodically review stock levels to ensure that stock levels are in line with operational requirements
• Responsible for the replacement and replenishing of spares at the stores by issuing requisitions to the purchasing Departments

Physical Security

Ensures that adequate security precautions are exercised at the Engineering stores during working and non-working hours

Safety

Ensures that appropriate handling devices and safe working conditions prevail at the stores

Accounting For Materials

• Periodically liaise with the finance department and take stock of all spares and consumables at the stores
• Ensures that material records are adjusted with the Finance Department after declared discrepancies

Qualification Required & Experience

• A degree/HND in mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Five years' experience in managing an engineering store
• Working knowledge of planned maintenance procedures and systems
• Working knowledge in Microsoft office applications
• Ability to plan and forecast accurately
