Position Overview

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will lead the technical vision and strategy for our company, focusing on developing cutting-edge aviation training solutions. You will leverage your expertise in manufacturing simulators and embedded systems to design and implement innovative solutions that redefine the aviation industry. Your role will encompass overseeing hardware and software development, building a high-performing team, and ensuring seamless integration of technical and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the technical roadmap for our aviation training and manufacturing simulation solutions.
  • Lead the design, development, and testing of software, hardware components, and embedded systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical initiatives with strategic goals.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of manufacturing simulators, focusing on software and tech-side optimization.
  • Manage and optimize resources to meet project milestones within budget constraints.
  • Analyze system requirements, draft technical specifications, and contribute to software architecture adhering to the V-cycle.
  • Monitor and refine embedded systems to ensure performance and reliability in a manufacturing context.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies and trends in manufacturing, embedded systems, and aviation.
  • Provide mentorship to engineers and designers, fostering a culture of innovation and growth.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with vendors and stakeholders, focusing on manufacturing and tech alignment.
  • Maintain compliance with aviation industry regulations and standards.
  • Lead customer interactions for technical negotiations, ensuring satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Actively participate in the company's Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), contributing to long-term success.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong experience in developing manufacturing simulators and embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including C, C++, Assembly (QT), Python, and Java.
  • Expertise in software architecture, object-oriented design, and real-time systems.
  • Solid understanding of aeronautics, aviation systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex technical systems in manufacturing and aviation contexts.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in startups or tech-driven manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of automation and integration of manufacturing processes is an advantage.
