Key Accountabilities

Strategy & Plans

  • Develop and own annual operating plan/budgets for Project Rollout and Site Acquisition.
  • Provide guidance and set directions for developing Project Rollout plans of NTC (to be driven jointly with Sales and Business Development Team).
  • Periodic review of Project Rollout and Site Acquisition KPIs of NTC and provide year end performance feedback.
  • Lead and direct the key activities related to implementation of operations strategy, resources, budget and standards to achieve KPIs and ultimate business objectives.
  • Development of key quality and safety initiatives that align with company operational objectives, strategy and international best practices.
  • Develop and establish operation policies for passive equipment and power systems related operation.

Project Management

  • Develop and own end to end Project Management processes and be responsible for its consistent implementation across NTC (including training).
  • Collaborate with relevant teams, customers, vendors and management to ensure project is delivered within defined SLA / KPIs.
  • Manage resource planning/allocation, risk mitigation, communications, implementation, and post-implementation/close activities for all assigned projects. Communicate project status and issues to project team and senior management.
  • Record changes to project scope, schedule, budget and resources for input into change management process.
  • Develop and monitor efficient execution of site handover process.
  • Jointly with Procurement, be responsible Vendor appointment and evaluation of major technical vendor contracts for providing Site Infrastructural and Engineering services.

Operations Management

  • Implement programmes to improve organisational capability in meeting customer requirements, managing the safeguarding of passive equipment in alignment with international best practices for safety, efficiency, quality and environment.
  • Manage Vendor selection and evaluation of major technical vendor contracts for providing Site Infrastructural and related support.
  • Development of best-in-class business and management practices including the implementation of an integrated Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental and CSR initiatives like OHSAS18001, ISO9001, ISO14001 etc.

People Management

  • Lead and Mentor teams to drive successful delivery of project roadmap.
  • Direct and monitor the tasks of Project Managers and Site Acquisition Team.
  • Own their career progression, retention and succession planning.

Work Ethics & Compliance

  • Establish collaborative, effective, and trusting relationships with key internal business leaders and functions to ensure a free flow of information and ideas. Be collaborative, but challenge and test as required.
  • Drive strong work ethics and compliance with RTC’s code of conduct at all times.

Others

  • Establishing, implementing and maintaining the OHS in accordance with ISO45001 and MS ISO 14001 standards.
  • Reporting of OHS performance for review, against the organization objectives and targets serve as the basis for continual improvement.
  • Handling of external communication with interested party with regard to OHS matter.
  • Interfacing with external regulatory bodies and communicating the requirements to the Management Committee.
  • Advise relevant parties on relevant legal and other requirements to ensure legal compliance.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors Level Degree in Civil, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a Project Management role, with up to 5 years of Senior Management experience in Telecommunications would be preferred.
  • Experience in a multinational company in the Telecommunications industry and/or civil-mechanical-electrical construction industries, particularly those with both profitable financial results over a sustained period (>5yrs).
  • Experience in business operations of distributed infrastructure networks or multiple large scale infrastructures where each aspect of Civil, Mechanical & Electrical infrastructure & equipment are supported.
