About Us

We’re a Y Combinator-backed startup that offers a codeless test automation tool powered by generative AI, designed to help manual testers and product managers. We’re looking for an experienced Vice President of Engineering to lead our technical team through our next stage of growth. If you have scaled engineering teams from approx. 10 to 100 people, thrive in a people-management-heavy role, and have prior YC startup experience, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Scale & Lead: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team.
• People First: Spend the majority of your time in people management, fostering a strong culture of ownership, growth, and collaboration.
• Technical Strategy: Partner with leadership to define and execute our technical roadmap while ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Operational Excellence: Implement processes that improve engineering velocity, quality, and team health.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with product, design, and business leaders to drive company success.

Who You Are

• Experienced Leader: You’ve been a VP of Engineering (or similar) at a fast-growing startup.
• Startup-Scaled: You’ve successfully grown an engineering team from 10 to 100+ people.
• YC-Savvy: You have prior experience working at a Y Combinator-backed startup and understand the unique challenges of early-stage, high-growth companies.
• People-Oriented: You enjoy leadership, mentorship, and spending most of your time on people management rather than coding.
• PST-Friendly: You’re willing to work Pacific Standard Time hours, regardless of location.
• Self-Aware: You know your MBTI personality type or are open to taking a short, free test.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: Up to $250,000 per year

• Remote: Work from anywhere, as long as you’re available during PST hours
