What You’ll Do

• Packaging Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Brand, Creative, Quality, R&D, and Operations—to design and select packaging that meets brand standards, ensures product stability, and aligns with cost and production timelines
• Specification Management: Create and maintain detailed packaging specifications, including materials, dimensions, and performance criteria. Oversee label artwork, pack-out instructions, case pack configurations, and shipping plans
• Innovation and Sustainability: Lead initiatives to identify and implement packaging improvements that enhance efficacy, market appeal, and sustainability. Stay updated on industry trends to drive innovative packaging solutions
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct packaging tests partnering with external labs to evaluate durability, safety, and performance under various conditions. Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address any packaging-related issues and implement corrective actions
• Project Management: Manage packaging requirements for manufacturers, including documentation and oversight of packaging line trials during development and commercial stages

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Technology/Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years in packaging engineering within the cosmetics or personal care industry. Experience with skincare products is highly preferred
• Proficiency with packaging design software (e.g. 3D CAD), material science, sustainability practices, and general statistical software. Familiarity with packaging lab equipment and testing protocols
• Strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
