Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership, coaching, and direction to the Engineering team
• Supervise all aspects of property maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, laundry and kitchen equipment, and life safety systems
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules and respond promptly to guest and operational service requests
• Assist in the preparation and control of department budgets, monitor inventory, and track expenses to ensure efficient cost management
• Oversee work orders, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation
• Work closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure high-quality service and compliance with service agreements
• Ensure department coverage, including participation in the on-call rotation and occasional Manager on Duty shifts
• Obtain quotes and coordinate small-scale capital projects or repair work as directed by leadership
• Promote a culture of safety and enforce adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation protocols

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hotel or commercial property engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
• Proven success in roles such as Engineering Supervisor, Assistant Chief Engineer, or similar
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
• Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and vendor negotiations
• Solid technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and building systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and regulatory documents
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Professional appearance and conduct in alignment with luxury hospitality standards
