About the Team
Workday is growing rapidly and is expanding to regions around the world. To enable this growth, we, the Cloud Platform Engineering team are building a state-of-the-art multi-cloud platform to host thousands of customers seamlessly across public and private clouds!.This team and its platform will empower Workday to deliver products to its customers faster while ensuring high availability, security, performance and cost efficiency across major public clouds and its own private clouds.
About the Role
- Manage a team of highly skilled engineers to build the next generation Multi-Cloud Platform to enable Workday’s growth
- Help align team priorities with the multi-cloud roadmap
- Triage issues and prioritize team backlog
- Collaborate with the Product Management team and multi-functional teams to prioritize the work for the team and ensure the quality of their deliveries.
- Support the platform across development and production environments
- Hire, mentor and direct a team of robust engineers. Provide technical leadership
- Continuously improve efficiency and expertise of the team
About You
Basic Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with large scale distributed systems on public cloud (AWS, GCP and/or Azure) in Enterprise SaaS companies.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud computing platforms on public cloud
- 3+ years of experience managing & leading people
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Other Qualifications
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes, Containers and large scale distributed platforms & services
- Passionate about automation and delivering high quality solutions
- Consistent track record of delivering high impact products and programs through collaboration across organizational boundaries
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Operations experience on a Public Cloud platform
- Continuous Delivery experience
