U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineering Manager who will lead a team of engineers to optimize CDO Suite Plus as well as support the build out of a new technology platform for our Consolidated Loan Obligation (CLO) business as a foundation to our global digital transformation journey.
The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization, including external clients and partners in the US and Europe. The candidate works with the product teams and has a holistic view on how the products within the portfolio(s) align to strategic initiatives. The candidate leads an engineering team and takes full stack ownership of the software produced, adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure scalability, reliability and performance of the systems. The candidate fosters a culture of continuous learning, sharing and collaboration within and outside of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
- 10+ years of managing software engineers
- People management of 10-20 full time employees and contractors, onshore and offshore.
- Budget experience of staff and contractors for large capital expenditures of more than $2M annually
- Design capabilties and features that are targeted to meet existing, enhanced, and new capabilities for the existing and new CLO platform for Global Corporate Trust and Custody.
- Lead, direct, and recommend solutions to cross-functional teams targeted for enhancements for system performance, reliability, scalability, and capacity.
- Modernize our infrastructure and application portfolio by building new and migrating existing applications on the cloud, in partnership with our primary cloud provider, Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and deploy solutions by working with agile teams across the enterprise as well as partnering with external vendors and clients.
- Support integrations with internal and external systems to automated and streamline key capabilities such as loan notices, wires, trades, analytics and reporting, and payments
- Software engineering experience required with hardware, software, and database with .Net and SQL a plus.
- Strong communication skills including external reviews with industry standards organizations or industry technical forums, such as SWIFT.
- Strong technical team leadership, mentorship, and collaboration.
- Develop systems with business and technical teams to ensure people, process, and technology align and work together to improve the end-to-end ecosystem.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
