POSITION: Manager, Software Engineering
JOB LOCATION: 3200 Olympus Blvd., Suite 110, Coppell, TX 75019 [and various unanticipated locations throughout U.S.; may work from home]
DUTIES: Responsible for managing the development and maintenance of general computer applications, software, and specialized utility programs. Oversee the development of software products in tax preparation and financial advisory markets. Analyze user needs, develop software solutions, and design software intended to optimize operational efficiency. Manage the development of new software packages and perform upgrades and fixes to existing operating software packages. Design, implement, and test software applications and respond to technical requests regarding assigned applications or components. Utilize the AWS development stack and development lifecycle tools including Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, and CodeDeploy. Utilize the Microsoft development stack and development lifecycle tools including C#, C++, ASP.NET MVC/Web API/WCF, .Net Core, Entity frameworks, SQL server, Visual Studio, TFS, and Git. Apply advanced knowledge of service- oriented architecture and frameworks including NServiceBus and Mass Transit. Use RabbitMQ, MSMQ, Azure Service Bus/Event Hub, and micro services-oriented patterns. Use front-end and server-side modern JavaScript frameworks including Vue.js. Apply advanced knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB. Build SaaS platforms and utilize Agile development methodologies. Supervise one (1) Principal SDET, one (1) Software Engineer I, one (1) Software Engineer II, one (1) Senior QA Automation, one (1) SDET II, one (1) Principal Software Engineer, and one (1) Senior SDET.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing the AWS development stack and development lifecycle tools including Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, and CodeDeploy; utilizing the Microsoft development stack and development lifecycle tools including C#, C++, ASP.NET MVC/Web API/WCF, .Net Core, Entity frameworks, SQL server, Visual Studio, TFS, and Git; applying advanced knowledge of service-oriented architecture and frameworks including NServiceBus and Mass Transit; using RabbitMQ, MSMQ, Azure Service Bus/Event Hub, and micro services-oriented patterns; using front-end and server-side modern JavaScript frameworks including Vue.js.; applying advanced knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB; and building SaaS platforms and utilizing Agile development methodologies.
