Sr./Engineering Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and technical Senior Engineering Director to lead our engineering teams and manage the entire Guiding Care engineering organization in India. This individual will be responsible for establishing a high-tech engineering culture, attracting and hiring top talent, and developing team members. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building distributed cloud systems with high availability and scale and will be accountable for the entire product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
  • Lead and manage engineering teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Establish and maintain a high-tech engineering culture, promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent, reducing attrition and developing team members.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Product Delivery:
  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring high-quality and timely releases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, to align on objectives, priorities, and trade-offs.
  • Drive the execution and delivery of features by coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Provide technical guidance and direction for the development of distributed cloud systems with high availability and scale.
  • Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and introduce new technologies to improve products and drive innovation.
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of applications, systems, and integrations.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure performance, efficiency, and scalability of products and services.
  • Drive performance optimization initiatives using data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive quality management system, ensuring the highest levels of quality in deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 18+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of developing enterprise-scale products.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in .Net, C#, Java, databases, AWS/Azure cloud, SaaS, and design and architectural patterns.
  • Experience in managing and leading engineering teams in a highly agile/scrum environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions that contribute to the success of the product.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Healthcare Technology and highly regulated industries.
  • Experience in building and managing distributed cloud systems with high availability and scale.
