Key job responsibilities
• Lead and grow engineering organizations responsible for delivering Core Services' AI transformation initiatives.
• Drive organizational strategy to build and maintain robust, scalable services while innovating in the Agentic AI space.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation across multiple engineering teams.
• Partner with product and research teams to balance current service stability with future AI capabilities.
• Develop and execute on technical roadmaps that align with Applied AI Solutions' broader strategic goals.

Our ideal candidate will be a comprehensive leader – part builder and part operator and is super excited about the incredible opportunity in front of us, while also highly passionate about building diverse and deeply talented teams that deliver exceptional services for our customers. You'll lead with a customer centric mantra in our fast paced environment, and your success is derived from your strong technical and business judgment and great communication skills. Basic Qualifications: • 10+ years experience with building and leading diverse and highly talented teams with an emphasis on scaling them to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business
• 10+ years of success leading technical product engineering, preferably for an internet- or developer-focused product or service
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated organizational planning and development skills
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases and clearly communicate data insights to others.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
• A passion for innovation and raising the bar in teams, technology and projects Preferred Qualifications: • Graduate degree (MBA/MS/PhD) preferred
• Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence
• Experience driving a technical global product and team with end to end inbound and outbound product responsibilities
• Demonstrated capability to provide deep and broad technical leadership to agile teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $264,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
