Amazon Payment Experience Platform team at Amazon India Development Center, Gurgaon is looking for a SDM to build the next generation of Payments platform and product from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a team that will be responsible for building a successful, sustainable and strategic business for Amazon, from the ground up!

You will get the opportunity to manage Tier-1 Platforms like Reminders, SMS Parsing and Bills and Recharge AutoPay systems. This team will work on diverse technology stack from SOA, UI frameworks, big-data and ML algorithms.

The candidate will be working to shape the product and will be actively involved in defining key product features that impact the business. You will be responsible to set up and hold a high software quality bar in a highly technical team of Software Engineers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of engineering experience
  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
