Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage team leads and senior engineers across Data, AI, Game Development, and Technology departments, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Serve as primary system design engineer and ensure engineering of software pipelines are optimally fit for PRDs.
- Define and drive the overarching technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for the company's quantitative and blockchain-based gaming platforms and operational infrastructure.
- Champion the development and refinement of innovative, fair, and engaging odds-based game mechanics and financial models, leveraging advanced data science, AI, and blockchain capabilities.
- Ensure the security, integrity, scalability, and regulatory compliance of all gaming operations and associated financial transactions on the platform.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership, Product Management, Legal, and Compliance teams to translate business objectives into actionable technical strategies and market-leading products.
- Direct the operational aspects of software processes, including system monitoring, incident response, financial reconciliation, fraud prevention, and continuous improvement of operational processes.
- Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, project prioritization, and timelines to ensure strategic goals are met efficiently.
- Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and trends in quantitative finance, blockchain/Web3, AI, and gaming, advocating for their strategic adoption to maintain a competitive edge.
- Assist leading alongside CTO in establishing and enforcing best practices for software development, data governance, AI ethics, and blockchain implementation across all teams.
- Cultivate relationships with external partners, technology providers, and regulatory bodies as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven executive experience (6+ years) in technology leadership roles, with at least 4-5+ years specifically managing multiple engineering teams in complex, data-driven environments.
- Demonstrable experience with and strategic understanding of blockchain technologies, smart contracts, tokenomics, and decentralized applications (dApps).
- Broad knowledge of modern technology stacks including data science (Python, ML libraries), AI development, game engines/pipelines (e.g., Unreal, Unity), and scalable backend systems.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to inspire and lead high-performing technical teams.
- Solid understanding of the game development lifecycle, live operations, and the integration of complex systems (e.g., payment gateways, KYC/AML solutions).
- Strong exposure to backend and microservice-based architectures including modern fullstack frameworks (Node.js/Go/Rust, Next.js, Docker/Kubernetes, ORMs, cloud services, etc.)
- Experience with regulatory and compliance landscapes relevant to gaming, finance, or blockchain Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, OR equivalent extensive professional experience.
