Digital Turbine (DT) is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Software Engineering to join our team and be an important part in building its next generation of products. You will work closely with multiple teams to help develop and deliver high quality software-based solutions that will help drive our business to new levels. Your globally distributed, full stack teams will focus on building well designed and efficient architecture to help our business operations move forward with new features and capabilities. Our teams are organized into agile, cross-functional teams that cover the full software development lifecycle.
\n- Be a passionate, hands-on leader, responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of engineers, including both employees and contingent workers
- Ability to create an impact on the design and development of DT products
- Working closely with the product team to influence the product roadmap for ongoing delivery of customer features
- Manage new development throughout the SDLC - from scope negotiation and solutions through deployment and support in production
- Leading by example and becoming a pillar of excellence for your team and the company
- Leverage and implement industry best practices to maximize software development performance, efficiency, and quality
- Provide professional support to the tech team
- Collaborate with other technical teams to allow smooth delivery of the roadmap
- When needed, perform hands-on work where needed including code creation, code review, documentation etc.
- Requires at least 5 years of software development experience
- Minimum of 5 years of people management (1x1s, performance reviews, hiring, employee engagement, etc..)
- 5+ years of experience working in an Agile team environment leveraging Agile management frameworks like Scrum
- Expert in building and supporting enterprise scale software
- Ability to effectively lead teams through development of a backlog or handling different types of situations requiring creative solutions
- Effectively communicate software solutions to other established leads and ability to implement with well-designed solutions
- Experience designing and building microservice architectures
- Prior work leveraging Kubernetes container services to deploy complex architectures
- Excellent knowledge of modern-day cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or GCP)
- Experience working with a diverse set of languages and tools, such as Postgres, DynamoDB or other RDBMS and NoSQL data stores
- Expert understanding software development best practices, methodologies, and previous work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Experience with quality testing methodologies, including automation and regression testing
- Previous work with Kafka
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks (e.g., Vue.js)
- Knowledge of developing and working with serverless concepts and stacks
- Experience working with Infrastructure as Code technologies
- Prior work with Ad Tech
